ford transit lwb camperhome 2.5td

Here we have a 2.5 litre turbo diesel van. I bought this van in 2002 and it has been modified by myself to a very good standard, I have had many compliments on it. I decided to convert it myself after finding out how much the conversion specialists charge.

This van is in good condition and I am sorry to see it go but due to the increase in our family and it is not big enough to take all the grand children.

Here is the main layout:

1 side door

3 way fridge with a small freezer compartment

2 ring cooker with a grill

sink and draining board with pumped cold water facility

cassette toilet with addition of storage for cleaning products

2 large overhead compartments

2 back doors which are fully openable with a small step

Wardrobe, cupboard with shelves and a large locker for linen space.

L shaped seating area which converts into a double bed, also with storage space.

12v lighting with an inverter to change up to 240volts.

I would advise that you have a check on the gas appliances for your own safety.

On the drivers side of the vehicle, under the main window there is a rusty area which we have painted over to stop it progressing.

This vehicle has had some welding work done, the usual TRANSIT areas.

There is still a 7 month MOT left on the vehicle and the tax expires at the end of Novewmber 09.

The engine starts first time, every time, even after being left unused for a month or so and runs as sweet as a nut.

Some of the bodywork could use a bit of tlc in a few places, as there are a few rusty areas on the outside of the van. The back doors need adjustmment.

There is an Eberspacher DL3C heater inside which unfortunately is not working at present and I do not have the time to take a look at it.

The main cab is in good clean condition as you can see from my photos.

TO SUMMARISE WE ARE LOOKING AT A VAN THAT HAS HARDLY BEEN USED FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS AND WHISLT NEW BODY PANELS HAVE BEEN FITTED (IE) FRONT DOOR SILLS, WHEEL ARCHES AND 1 NEW WING IT STILL NEEDS A BIT OF PAINTWORK AND TLC.
