We found them a forever home

Description:
It is with a very heavy heart that I am having to put my beautiful boy up for sale, but I simply do not have the time to do him justice which isn't fair on him. This is an honest advert and I will answer any genuine enquiries as openly as I can to find the perfect home for him.
Jasper is a 14.2hh cob gelding, he turned 6 in April. He has mainly been used as a happy hacker since he was backed as a 3 year old. Jasper has hacked out in the heaviest of traffic, ridden past roadworks and currently has 2 building sites next to his field so he is well used to heavy machinery. Nothing seems to bother this boy. Jasper will hack out alone or in company, first or last, adaptable to his rider, he will plod along at the back or step it up a gear when asked. Safe and sensible head on his shoulders and I have always felt safe riding him.
Jasper was also driven lightly last year, although he has not done this in some time, it maybe something he could progress into. Responds well to voice commands and only needs a light touch on the reins. Jasper started some basic schooling last year and progressed brilliantly, but due to no arena and wet winter conditions this had to put on hold. Jasper also started jumping, usually between 65-75cm but has on the odd occasion jumped 1m. Jasper has scope to burn and thoroughly enjoys jumping, he just needs schooling further to set him up correctly for the jump as he can rush.
Jasper was being ridden full time last year, 5-6 days a week but has only been lightly hacked since Christmas. Luckily jasper is the type you can leave for weeks, jump back on and he will ride the same. Jasper is good in and out of the stable, can touch and groom him anywhere, picks up all feet, no vices. He is good to tack up, can have those odd days where he will try to avoid the bridle, but does give up and give in rather quickly, which every horse does at some time or another. Loads first time and travels beautifully. He has been out to a few local shows and done well in in-hand classes and some ridden and leaves the ring with positive comments from the judges. Jasper is of Asby Mills bloodline, sire Asby Mills Steady, and many of his relations have gone in to show successfully.
Jasper is good to clip, he was hogged end of last year, however when I tried to go over his legs again, he has refused and won't let me close with the clippers. He was perfect the first time round so not too sure what the problem is this time. This isn't an issue for me as I am quiet happy for his feathers to grow back, but if to be left hogged he may require sedation to do his legs. Fine to clip body/jawline. Jasper is shod and will stand for the farrier, he can need someone at his head when nails are going in as he doesn't like the sensation, will try snatch foot back, so will need patient farrier, although he does have good feet so could go without shoes.
Jasper does need more schooling so experienced home required. He needs to find a home that will take him out showing and winning the rosettes he deserves. Please message me if you would like any more information, more pictures available on request. He is not suitable for novices/children so please do not apply. Home far more important than price!
