Brought over from Ireland as a youngster by Olympic medalist Sharon Hunt, Joey was professionally broken and has been with me for nearly four years. He has been brought on slowly, not pushed and had time to grow into his nice Irish frame. Good to do in all ways and this boy is designed to jump! He really knows his job, super careful, needs no placing, doesn't touch a pole and does it for fun. Has nice careful paces, always willing and never difficult in the school. Flatwork/schooling/dressage doesn't interest me and so he'd probably benefit more work there.
Has been on fun rides, over cross country and all kinds of coloured jumps and fillers, if ever unsure, he'd just jump higher, never duck out.
More forward when he see's a jump, but aside from that he's not overly excitable, strong, never napped, bucked, reared or bolted. He's ridden out almost daily alone but rides just the same in company, first or last. Seen all kinds of traffic, including buses and tractors most days.
He's good to handle, catch, box, clip and shoe. Although I always take a bucket to catch and to bribe onto the trailer. Can live out all year round, but I prefer to bring him in at night when it's cold. Does prefer a friend for turnout but I've kept him alone before.
This has been an extremely hard decision, but Joey is now for sale because he should be going out to live up to his masses of potential and I'm just not able to go and do that with him. He's far more than a hack or fun ride horse and will go only to a competent, experienced home to do what he enjoys.
He's well put together and gets attention everywhere we go, a real head turner. I've been just so lucky to have him, he's much loved and deserves the best home.

Breeding - His sire Chacoa (Holsteiner) is by the sire Contender with Cor De La Breyer and Cavalier Royale on the sire side, and featuring Landgraf and LadyKiller in the Damline.
Chacoa (now deceased) features some of Europes best bloodlines and was jumping 1.30m with Shane Breen before retiring to stud. Chacoa progency are all jumpers, eventers and show horses. Some of his more well know progeny include HolmOak Bolivia, jumping 1.35m, Nicola Wilsons One two Many 3*** eventer, Box Office (Show horse), and Azarax (Show hunter with Katie Jerram). He has many horses competing Internationally at all levels. Joeys dam is a Clover Hill (Irish) mare.

Joey is now looking for his first position in any sphere as he has the ability to go in any direction
