Popular lock stitch industrial sewing machine. Recent oil change. Some additional heavy duty needles, manual etc. 240 V

If you are looking to buy this machine, you probably have a really good idea what it is and what it does already but if you are not sure, this is a singe stitch machine. It does a straight stitch. This is known as a lock stitch. Although you can vary the length of the stitch and the tightness of the stitch, is doesn't have a huge array of different stitch styles like a lot of smaller domestic machines. Industrial machines typically just do one stitch well and it is amazing just how rigid and hefty a machine needs to be to stitch well through thick materials. This machine is very powerful and can be quick if you are skilled. You could use it 24 hours a day and it would just go on and on. It has large capacity spool holders and a table light. This machine is ideal for doing general tailoring (it was initially owned by a chap who made military, legal and parliamentary uniforms). We used it for making some boat cushion covers and sail covers and some webbing work. We just don't really need it any more. This is the more desirable 240v version that you can just plug in at home. Others can be 415V, which requires industrial 3 phase.

It is quite heavy and would probably benefit a small trailer or van to move it. It could be moved in smaller bits but would have to be drained of its oil or that would make a mess.

You will have to arrange your own transport because I don't have a van anymore.

Collection in the GU7 area of Godalming. Viewing welcome. In great condition other than the rubber wheel from the bobbin winder has perished and broken off. Can't imagine that would cost much. We wound the bobbins on another machine so it wasn't an issue.
