We have 6 kits available in mid August. 4 hobs and 2 jills, a mixture of light and dark. They are currently almost 5 weeks old. They are being weaned on a mainly raw diet with "ferret feast" dry food.
The mother is about a year old, this is her first litter. She is adventurous and playful, and these traits are just starting to show through in the kits. The father is an old boy, he's a working ferret (when he's not busy sleeping!), although he's semi retired now. He is the softest, loveliest ferret I've ever met, he has never bitten me despite me kissing his face and just generally annoying him.
The kits have just opened their eyes (some only one eye so far!), and they are racing around their hutch and playing.
They will be ready at 12-14 weeks.
We are introducing the babies to the other household pets slowly, so they can be more easily introduced to other pets in their new home.
