This is a heartbreaking sale of my beautiful mare, she is a good weight carrying 15.2hh and rising 6, we have owned her for a little over a year now and she has a lovely kind nature and is very willing to learn new things. She is excellent to catch/clip/farrier and loads easily onto a trailer, I haven't tried her on a lorry but can't imagine she would be a problem as she has always followed wherever we have asked her to and when loading on a trailer you don't even need to swing open the centre partition. She has been shod all round but at christmas time I had her shoes off and she has been barefoot ever since as her feet have been good enough although that may change if she was somewhere very stoney, she currently lives on a farm and is not bothered by any farm machinery or sheep! She loves hacking and will go alone or in company and is a lovely fun,forward going ride but has always had good brakes so is in a snaffle at all times. She can be handled by anyone and loves fuss and attention, she will stand happily to be groomed and when leading her around the yard she's a bit like a big dog as she is so interested in everything she will sniff her way around, even after staying in (after worming etc) she has never been strong or silly to turn out she just walks out the same as usual although I have never had her in for longer than 2 days. She will turn out with mares and is also currently with a gelding, will happily be up on the yard or in her stable by herself but wouldn't be happy left turned out on her own, although as long as there are horses she can see they don't necessarily have to be in her field. Due to her age she is still a little green in the school and needs a confident/experienced rider to help her, she is not nasty in any way but has sadly not been suitable for my nervous daughter and this is the only reason she is for sale as she really needs to be out having fun with someone. She has been having professional schooling 3 times a week for the last 4 months and is learning really well, she has also started jumping which she absolutely loves and has shown a great willingness for, jumping 1m with ease and I really feel that she would make someone a great, fun allrounder. The more work she does the better she becomes but she has also been left for weeks and has not been fizzy or silly when next ridden.
