I am looking for an experienced person to loan/share my 13.2HH Bay Quantock X 5 year old gelding.
I have had him since he was 9 months, brought him from a wild foal to where he is now and backed him in myself. He is a traditional bright bay with distinct black markings. Echo did lots of lunging and long reining before being backed and is very responsive to voice. He has done lots of hacking and absolutely perfect with traffic. I have done a couple of dressage tests with him, a few showing shows in-hand and a couple ridden classes last summer and this year. I have also done a clear round starting his jumping career and he is proving to have a good jump with lots of scope. He has also been hunting twice and is very good with the hounds and other horses. I have also done a fun ride with him and he really enjoyed it. He has been in rivers and through fords and loves the water. He really enjoys himself doing lots of different things but sometimes he can get excited but doesn't do anything nastily. He has travelled in a trailer and horse van but can be a little hesitant to go in however with patience and more practice he will be more confident to go in. He hacks alone or in company, been over motorway bridges, 100% with traffic, farrier and is up-to-date with vaccinations and worming.
He has been clipped this winter three times doing a bigger clip each time (shown in some of the pictures) and was very good with it being his first time.
Echo did used to be nippy but has mostly grown out of it and is better by not having treats by hand or expecting tea.
He is a very good doer going barefoot all the time I have had him. He doesn't need a lot of grass in summer and has lived on hay throughout the winter and lives in or out.
Would suit competent teenager or light weight adult.

I am happy for him to stay at current yard or be moved within the Somerset/Devon area. Only for loan due to myself joining the army in September and I don't want him to be wasted. No complete novices due to his age. Echo will come with his saddle, bridle and a few rugs.
