13.2hh, New Forest, 13 year old, Mare.
Ella is one of the kindest mares you'll ever meet, she's smart in appearance, with 3 very balanced paces. She has done everything known to the equestrian sport: Dressage, Cross Country, La Trec, Quadrille, Polo, Pony Club Camp, Showjumping, ODE's, Hunting etc etc.
This little grey mare is the perfect school mistress, she'll take a novice around bottom hole or a competitive teen around 1.20's. I am beyond too big and heavy for her and she's still pinging around 1.20m courses with me. I cannot sweat it enough how safe she is to be around.
She would DEFINITELY affiliate and be highly successfull within the affiliateion, unfortunately I was too big and old to do the classes I potentially would have on her. Over the last 5 years Ella has taught me everything, from sitting trot and jumping 55cm to jumping 1.30m oxer's and long days hunting. She'll jump anything you point her at, never refuses or stops. She's a very clean and honest mare.
She has qualified for several different major events such as:
National Finals x2
Sunshine Tour Championships x3
Trailblazer Championships x2
She has the 85&95cm showjumping records at a not to local event at 11.08&11.09 seconds!!!
Etc, etc...
She really is epic and would take someone far in life!
However, I'd say in regular galloping areas/hunting I wouldn't label her a novice ride as can get strong when excited, but is never dangerous.
Good too shoe, clip, catch, load and travel.
