1920's One-off Display sideboard in solid oak in Stockport
Description:
Rather medieval looking! A one-off commission piece crafted in 1928 for, and designed by, a well-known Everton player at the time of Dixie Dean. Originally spec'd to display trophies and medals in the grooved rail at rearmost of polished top this very well made talking point has 3 drawers, green baise lined, and large interior with shelf on either side. There is a small bit of damage to the lower decorative rail, mainly from being rested on something in the past, that conld be repaired fairly easily. All brass fittings are present and good, drawer runners fairly good and only missing receiver side of ball catch on cupboard door, no lock was ever fitted. Some provenance on old label on the back and a story behind!
