These chickens are free ranging and have been head first in the dust bath hence the mucky hair doos!

Sultans are a super hardy very good laying breed which are always overlooked as a good farm yard chicken, we find they never get cold in winter and never get hot in summer as if they were made for Welsh weather!
Our girls are the first and the last of all of our rare breeds to start laying.
The down side to them is they hate going to bed before sun down which can be testing in mid summer!

We have had 100% fertility rate and 90% hatch rate (under broodies) from this group this year. Read more
