Description:
WEC's Green Guardians are collecting unwanted household items for an upcoming Swap Shop.
A Swap Shop is a free and local exchange where people can pass on things they no longer want and take things that they need. No money changes hands.
It saves you money and helps the environment. Around £140 million worth (around 350,000 tonnes) of used clothing alone goes to landfill every year in the UK. We would like to see these items go to a new home instead.
You can donate clean clothes, jewellery, vases, books, homeware, kitchenware, toys, accessories and textiles. Unfortunately, we cannot accept large items, electrical or battery operated goods, duvets or pillows.
We are collecting at the Woodfarm Education Centre. A donation box can be found outside from 4.30pm - 6.00pm Monday-Friday.
