Mindfulness and meditation has been practiced for thousands of years and have many applications that can help to solve the problems faced within our busy modern lives.
In this series we will explore how through training in meditation and being mindful of special ways of thinking we can develop a more peaceful, balanced mind and transform our daily experience into one of great meaning and insight.
~ This series is based on the book How to Transform Your Life by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and can be downloaded as a free eBook.
~ These courses are open to all.
These are drop-in informal meditation classes followed by refreshments.
It provides a basic introduction to Buddhist teachings and meditations. Through these classes we can learn how to use Buddha's advice in our daily lives to solve our problems and find the peace and happiness we seek.
These classes are suitable for everyone regardless of background or previous experience. Each class consists of guided meditation, instruction, and discussion followed by refreshments and lasts approximately an hour and a half.
Classes are self-contained so you can attend any you choose. However, you may receive more benefit from attending a whole course and thereby gain a full understanding of the subject.
A special time in the middle of your week to rest, reflect and improve your mind. Every week, you will learn different meditation practices, helping you to become a happier person through learning to apply Buddha's practical teachings in your daily life. You are welcome to join our community for refreshments and discussion afterward.
