I have a female Syrian hamster who needs re-homing. She is free to a good home.

She is black and white patched, with black eyes and short fur. She is approx. 4-5 months old, so is a fully grown young adult. She is very beautiful, black varieties of hamsters are harder to come across.

I brought her for my younger sister a few weeks ago, but unfortunately she is not very friendly, and perhaps not very suitable as a child's pet. She has never bitten, but is quite timid and jumpy, so difficult to handle. She is however very rewarding and entertaining to watch. She loves her wheel! I do not have the time to give her the attention she needs as I am going away to university.

She would be best suited to an older experienced owner, rather than a child. I am not saying that she cannot be tamed, perhaps all she needs is a little extra TLC from someone experienced with more time on their hands, which I regret to say I cannot give her.
