Job Description

An opportunity has arisen in our busy nursery for an experienced Nursery Nurse, to work as part of our team, providing quality child care and education for children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years The nursery is based in Romford, Essex, and is a provider of high quality childcare and education for young children within a fun, stimulating and safe environment; we work in close partnership with parents as well as providing learning to meet children's individual needs.

Flexibility is essential as the role is for 40 hours per week for 52 weeks spread across the whole year. Opening hours of the Nursery are 7.30am-6.30pm - there is the opportunity to work more hours if required.

This is a full time permanent position starting ASAP. The main duties for the Nursery Nurse / Room Leader role are:

Working with babies or 3 months -5 years old line with the EYFS
model the skills and behaviours that safeguard and support children
to take on the role of Key Person and Leadership.
Ensuring all Paperwork is completed on time and filed away daily and weekly.
Planning delivering and supervising children activities based on targets given
Monitoring of children's progress and efficiency of Internal processes
Responsible for updating in-house documentation regarding children and main point of contact to Management
Maintaing an open line of communication with parents and team members and provide appropriate feedback based on development records
Also

To support children in the nursery with their play and social development
To help children with feeding, changing clothes, nappies, toileting etc.
Plan an environment and learning experiences which promote the principals set out in the EYFS
to ensure high staff morale within the team is maintained
to build positive partnerships with parents
to maintain a high standard of care and service throughout the nursery through a self-evaluation of the setting and keep observational records of key children, with guidance use them to inform planning. Share with parents and other staff as appropriate.
The right candidate will: Ideally have at least a Level 3 Qualification in ChildCare /Early Years.

Have over 1 year' experience working with young children
