Hi, my name's Daf and I am a professional drummer and teacher.
My experience expands 30 years and during my career I have worked as a session drummer and played on the Heather Small (M People) album "Close to a miracle", on the film soundtrack of British teen flick "Angus, thongs & perfect snogging", and I've also recorded at London's famous Abbey Road and Angel Recording Studios.
I have played live performances including support slots for Jools Holland & Catatonia, and sharing a stage alongside Duffy & Wheatus for the Stereophonics management.
Teaching is personalised on a one to one basis. I can travel to you and provide teaching sessions in the comfort of your own home. I am friendly, patient and encouraging, aiming to make the lessons a fun experience whilst still focusing on progress and achieving results tailored to suit the individual.
All styles and abilities are catered for, beginners to advanced welcome. I also have experience of tutoring pupils with special needs.
I have a current private client list from 7 years of age upwards, with differing levels of ability, many of whom focus on obtaining their grades. Several of my past students have pursued further education at such notable institutions as the Guildhall College of Music. Other students continue drumming either as a pastime or joining bands and being further involved in the music industry.
Rockschool grading system used, D.B.S Checked, and references are available on request.
Rates:£30 per hour, 40 mins £20, 30 Mins £15.
