Hello, I'm Thaddeus.

I am a self-employed music teacher with 10 years experience in the UK. I studied, wrote, gigged, toured and recorded back home in America then in the UK and Ireland. When some of students in London recommended me to their schools, I jumped at the opportunity. Ultimately, I found that I prefer teaching privately. It is a far more productive learning environment plus we can have tea and biscuits! I bring all of my experience from inside and outside of the venue and classroom, to my lessons. I will also encourage you to effectively listen to various styles of music outside of lessons because it will help your appreciation and playing. And you may discover new music that you really like!

I currently have students from age 4 to 54 and their abilities range from complete beginner to life-long musicians. We cover rock, blues, indie, jazz, name your genre...we'll have a go. However, if you have experience and want to focus more on genre-specific techniques, then we can do that too. Lessons can be for leisure, graded exams, GCSE and A-level students but I want them to be fun.

I'm a 'multi-instrumentalist' so lessons can go beyond just tuition into playing or 'jamming' and creating some proper music together. Playing in a band is fun, rewarding and fires the interest of me and my students. Small group lessons are also an option.

Lesson arrangements are flexible. Any day. Any time. As long as there is space available, I'll book you in. We can have lessons at your place or in my back room studio. We can meet weekly or fortnightly or whenever suits you. Teaching music is my job so my students are a top priority. I kindly ask for 24 hours cancellation notice on booked lessons.

I can, in some cases, provide an instrument for lessons and can also offer advice for instrument purchase.

And I have a squeaky clean CRB check.
