In the UK it is a legal requirement (Regulatory Reform Order 2005) for a fire risk assessment to be carried out on almost all premises where people could be working, eating, sleeping, shopping, being entertained, educated, worshiping, and a whole host of other activities. Most small businesses, places of worship, restaurants, etc. are not aware of this legal requirement.

Most Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) take about one to two hours to perform the assessment itself, with a further hour or two to type (or write) up the report. I do all of the invoicing and report writing using my PC. You are guaranteed to be paid because the customers are made aware that their report (with recommendations on what changes they need to make and when those changes need to be made) will not be sent to them until their payment has cleared my bank account. Some customers pay you in cash at the time of the assessment. Since the disastrous Grenfell fire last year, the business has increased noticeably and will continue to do so with new regulations that will inevitably be brought in soon.

You will be required to attend a one-week training course provided by the local Fire and Rescue Service at a cost of approximately £530. However, there is much more to "the job" than attending the course. I am willing to provide you with full on-the-job training to ensure your continued success, as there are several behind-the-scene practices that go into making this business successful.
