Sam is a 14hh 10yr old coloured cob gelding . I have owned him for just under two years now and he was transported in from Ireland to my local yard where he was schooled before coming home . Sam is broken to ride and drive but has only driven in his previous home , we have never driven him . He is very enthusiastic and is very willing to please . Sam has competed and successfully placed in classes up to 90cm unaffiliated in my two years with him and has scope to go much higher with the correct rider . At home he is schooled over 80cm - 1m courses and has jumped up to 1.20m. Sam is an ex-pacer and does still pace therefore I would like his new owner to have experience and knowledge of pacers . Sam has a lovely working trot and responds well to pole work . He is a genuinely nice horse to ride and although a pacer he does trot and canter . Over the summer he has come on on leaps and bounds and has been consistently picking up a trot instead of a pace . Although it is still a working progress his canter is getting better and I am positive it will progress very quickly with the right rider . Sam is a quiet horse to ride and doesn't have any vices he never does anything nasty but he is not a novice ride whatsoever due to his pacing . He loves people and will stand all day to be groomed and cuddled . He currently lives out with our donkey all year round but he has been stabled multiple times before and we've never had any issues . He is barefoot at the moment but is no problem with the farrier and vet . He hacks out alone or in company and we've never had any trouble with him out in traffic . Sam enjoys going for gallops but is never strong and is always easy to steady and bring back . Can be sold with tack or full wardrobe for additional cost .
