Novice carriage drivers looking for a ride and drive mare or gelding in Plymouth

Mature (i.e. older but not dead yet) novice drivers searching for a replacement for their experienced ride and drive mare who seems destined for life as an expensive field ornament. We're looking for a 15hh+ mare or gelding, although would consider 14hh+ if fit and not too fine. We'd prefer something around the age of 10 years, but younger would be okay if it is sensible and has some driving miles under its belt. It will be used predominantly for pleasure driving. Must be open to vetting. We are experienced horse owners based in Devon, and are members of the Great Western Harness Club, the British Driving Society and British Carriage Driving. Read more
