Pretty registered pure Irish Draught grey mare for sale.. 15.-15.1hh
.14 years old. Due to owners ill health RIA is reluctantly for sale.
This is an honest ad so no time wasters please.

RIA has been backed and has three nice outlines. She will be a project horse and will need to be brought back into work . This sensitive intelligent mare has a quiet attitude to life. Ideally suited for someone who wants a friend for life to establish a firm one to one bond. Can be stubborn but not nasty. Needs quiet coersion and handling. Is used to farm machinery, dogs and all traffic. Can be stabled but prefers to live out if possible. RIA has slight sweet itch but copes well if rugged. She gets impaction in her teeth..but an annual dental appointment resolves this. RIA loves being groomed and fussed..but can do occasional dancing with the farrier and vet when in season. She loads well with a bucket ! She has regular worm counts/worming.. RIA can be stubborn..then think better of the situation and just do what you're asking. She is a follower not a leader.As she becomes more attached to you her confidence grows and she will be your best friend.
RIA has only been hacked out..and not for a while... so hasn't had lots of intensive schooling...though in the right hands she would excel as she is intelligent. I haven't had any foals from her but she has good bloodlines.
RIA would be ideally suited to someone who has the time and experience to restart her education .. gain her confidence...and be well rewarded.
RIA will be sold from the field..potential buyers will be vetted.
