Absolutely Stunning Registered Irish Draught Gelding

Meet Bertie, an impressive 16.3hh gelding who will celebrate his 9th birthday in June. With a full passport and only two previous owners, Bertie is a remarkable horse looking for a new home due to a change in circumstances.

This gentle giant has a friendly disposition and an endearing, playful nature. While he may appear like a big baby at times, he is incredibly sweet and eager to please. Bertie thrives on being active and enjoys both solo and group hacks. He has a willing attitude toward learning and development, and with the right amount of time and dedication, he will truly flourish.

Bertie has experience in jumping and has previously shown great promise. He approaches fences with confidence, exhibits quickness off the ground, and demonstrates excellent technique, although he will need some refreshing in this area after a break from jumping.

During the summer months, Bertie is comfortable living outdoors. During Winter he is stabled at night. He enjoys companionship and is accustomed to being in mixed herds, including living with mares.

With his impressive stature, Bertie is best suited for someone with experience rather than a total novice. He has no known health issues and is open to vet checks for your peace of mind.
