Ride and Drive


Bobby is a 14.3hh Cob x Trotter who is 10 year old and is a Skewbald gelding.

Bobby is for sale as he needs work to bring him on to his true potential.

I bought him in March and I just can't get him going for me and he has a lot of potential.

He's vaccinated , dentist & wormed up to date ,

He's good to catch and shoe and box.

He's is currently shod with front shoes on.

Will live in or out, (alone or with other horses) but does prefer to be out as much as possible and will weave and get stressed if stabled too long when other things are going on and he's not getting attention, he does not do it continuously, (he is by no means nasty ) by son who is 6 and a total novice around horses grooms him and bobby is happy to stand and let him play about with him)

Bobby really he is a one person pony, ideally a small yard will suit him as he can get his knickers in a twist if a lot is going on around him.

Bobby will hack out alone , not tried in company.

Unfortunately Bobby will buck. He needs a strong rider to push him past this he's lovely in the school for 10 mins but past that he gets frustrated , nappy and will buck and mess about and unfortunately I can't get him past the bucking stage . When he goes he really does go lovely.

He's had spine xrays from the vet which came back with no obvious impingements (in July)

Saddle checked and fitted in August .

He had hunted in the past, also done a dressage test and is capable of jumping 3ft +

Bobby is also broken to drive, I have not done this with him but seen the videos. (Happy to share)

Bobby is NOT a novice ride due to the bucking so he needs a strong confident rider to push him past this behaviour.

No expenses have been spared in getting this horse right and trying to sort his problems but I'm clearly not the person to do to be able to push him past them.
