15.1hh 8 year old mare. Sensible, level headed hunter & Happy hacker.

Taken by storm is our 8 year old 15.1hh mare. She is broken to ride and hacks out happily alone or in company past any kind or traffic, animal or commotion. She has the loveliest temperament and is absolutely adorable. She has done mostly hacking but is taking nicely to schooling and started to pop some jumps nicely too. She is a little green in the school still but really enjoys herself.

She is passported with CHAPS and would be a lovely show prospect. She stands quietly to be groomed and is unphased by the shower, being pulled, clipped and plaited. She is great to catch, load and has impeccable stable manners. She lives out in a mixed heard.

She's been ridden by various different riders including a 16 year old who is fairly confident and fairly novice and my 7 & 9 year old nieces walking and trotting on the lead rein and walking off the lead rein. She's very gentle and so my very novice nieces can manage her on their own walking around the school and going over the trotting poles etc. She stands perfectly to mount and is great in open fields. We've taken her on the cross country, farm rides, hunting & on big group rides and she is perfect to load and travel. She is VERY sensible in a group, with the hounds and will jump the ditches!

Before coming to me, Storm had an easy life. She was bought from the yard owner who bred her and has only been on 2 yards her whole life. She was broken as a 4 year old and used for happy hacking, more becoming a field ornament which was why her previous owner decided to sell her as she wasn't getting the time to use her. Storm really enjoys her work and so she wanted her to go on and make someone else happy.

Storm would make a fantastic confident/ experienced teenagers horse or adults happy hacker/low level all rounder for someone wanting to put their own stamp on her. She is easily managed by a teenager and also a good weight carrier, very much having a foot on each corner! I wouldn't say she would suit a nervous rider as she does walk quite fast and although she doesn't go anywhere when schooling she isn't a plod so can feel forward to ride.

We have a school here and plenty of hacking for anyone wanting to try her. I have lots of pictures and videos available and can help with transport if required. Open to vetting etc.
