Very sweet natured Strawberry Roan Dartmoor x gelding for sale only as he isn't going to make the right size for me. Ghost loves people, he's easy to handle in all ways, comes to call in the field, happily lives in or out with mares, geldings and livestock. He's a playful pony and would love a younger pony to play with in the field. He's good for the farrier (has recently had his first set of front shoes which were cold shod and he was a superstar), loves being groomed, good to bath, clip and load, although he hasn't been in a box since he's been with me but he will do anything for food! He's happy to be left while others go out.

I haven't owned Ghost for very long I bought him back in May as my next forever horse but after recently measuring him he is just slightly too small for me. Since being with me he's had a pretty chilled time as I wasn't going to ride him til this spring but we got impatient. We've done some hacking in the summer mainly alone and have been trying to get out a bit through winter but it's not happening very often. He will ride alone or in company, he's good with traffic, bikes, passes other horses, has ridden up through a busy village and had a few canters in open spaces. He doesn't buck, rear or bolt. He is a typical young uneducated pony he looks for confidence from his rider he doesn't have any schooling knowledge yet and he can be spooky and nappy as seen in the video below. However he over comes obstacles really quickly with gentle encouragement and is really willing to please. He has a lovely fancy trot really flicks his feet would look super in a dressage test.

He would make a fantastic all rounder for the right person he's forward going and would be quick round jumps. Ghost has had an amazing start to life and I am looking for a very special home who will give him the continued education he needs and get the best out of him but also give him all the love and attention he craves. He's the sweetest pony and I'm gutted he isn't quite big enough.

Ghost has done lots of long reining in his previous home along with some free schooling (popping some jumps), entered a local show and has had a go at lunging but this needs work.

I am really looking to find him his forever home quickly as he is now ready to start his proper education and unfortunately a change of circumstances for me means I do t have the time.

Up to date with vaccines, has just had a dental January 2025 with no sedation and was very good! He has a couple of wolf teeth which dentist said probs won't cause him an issue due to the position of them but would be easy and cheap for a dentist to remove if needed.
