This is a totally honest add
12 year old 14.2hh New Forest Gelding

I bought Buddy 6 months ago from a riding school where I was told he had done everything apart from be backed . He is very loving and super friendly . Fantastic to catch , long rein, lunge , great for farrier , fine loading .
When I got Buddy I sent him away for 6 weeks to be professionally backed .
When he first started his training he was extremely cold backed and wouldn't let anything near his back . However he has come on leaps and bounds and is tacking up , schooling and hacking out alone and in company beautifully and is % bomb proof.
Buddy doesn't put a foot wrong with his trainer ( who I think he fell in love with )
So now the tricky bit , his come home and I couldn't wait to get out and about on him !
Unfortunately I have discovered I'm too heavy footed for him and it totally freaks him out , he needs someone who is very experienced and can back him lightly and smoothly which is not me . How ever if you can do this he is perfect .
When I try and get on he freezes and spins . His trainer gets straight on after me or before me and his the perfect gentleman.
I'm totally devastated as I love him dearly but don't have the confidence to keep getting back on .
I also need a horse I can share with my children who can learn to ride on .
Buddy needs to build a relationship and needs a confident gentle rider.
Then you would have your most loyal best friend who will not put a foot wrong .
We have tried him with 2 other quiet confident jockeys and he has been perfect .
He schools beautifully.
Buddy has obviously not been treated nice in the past but is the most loving boy when you earn his trust .
I'm looking for an experienced forever home for Buddy and he can come with all his tack which is quality tack and saddle professionally fitted .
I have lots of videos of Buddy riding and his trainer is happy to discuss him if anyone has questions and is also happy to show anyone who wants to come and meet him how good and easy he is for her .
Once his actually being ridden either out or about or schooled he actually loves it
5* forever home is so important and I would love to be kept updated on Buddy's progress .
He is passported , microchipped and up to date with Jabs , teeth and wormer and has been bare foot all his life .
