Description:

Please don't reply to this add unless you can provide a loving comfortable permanent forever home and intend going through with it.
We've turned down what seemed good homes because we promised to keep him for somebody that gave backword two days before he was due to go.

following many messages I would like to thank you all for your interest and just fill you in on block as we've had so much interest from so-many kind people.
It looks like Andy's new forever home might not now be happening for various reasons, which now means I need to start looking again.
Rather than messaging you all individually I will try to answer some of your questions in one.
His exact age we are unsure of but we have come to the conclusion he's around 17 to 20ish.
He is quiet with people and mares, haven't tried him with other stallions yet but where we've had to move him to it's the other stallion trying to get to him.
He's still making babies and has thrown some lovely foals out.
He does have a passport ,,, "somewhere" and has been freeze branded but with them not being mine I have no idea where the paperwork is.
I have been told that he rides and drives but again have never tried him.
As for being at ease with dogs after what happened to him I would guess that knowing his nature he'd be cautious at first but be fine when he realised he's not in danger.
He will also tether should you require and he will also be happy sleeping out.
I have one mare that could go with him if required but she does come with his colt foal.
I do have others to go including a boney colt and beautiful yearling filly but I'd prefer to wait for them to get their summer coats first.
Due to recent happenings I would prefer for him or them to go to a local home ( BD17 ) and must have grazing .
Should you desire further information please ask.
I would like to thank you all for your concern and assure you that I'm being as honest as I can be.
Please message me even if you already have as I've been inundated with messages but have been very busy and unwell as-well as thinking we'd already found his new forever home.
Many thanks for all your concern.
Richard

Andy is a miniature Shetland stallion that needs a new forever home due to the ill health of his owner.
He is silly soft and doesn't require much looking after but unfortunately the same can't be said for his owner.
Andy was attacked by a killer dog 3 weeks ago which he luckily came through with no lasting injuries but that leaves us with a dilemma.
We are looking after him and 8 others for the owner that will sadly never see any of them again and as there are two stallions and nowhere now to keep Andy now as the dog has not been caught so he can't go back into that field, we are needing a new owner for him.

He's not a young lad but there's a few years left in him yet and he produces some lovely looking foals if you require some new blood.
He looks awesome in his summer coat with a fantastic mane ( needs a good combing lol )

He's not going free as we want his new home to be his last and not used to get some fast cash, should his new owner live close I would gladly provide his hay for this winter free of charge.

Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
