Beautiful Thoroughbred mare in Macclesfield

£1,000

I've had Missi, 6 and approx. 16hh, for about a year. She is a beautiful, lovely girl who loves being around people.
She will stand nicely to be groomed and messed with when tied (not really the cuddly sort though until she trusts you), she is good for the farrier, she'll meet you at the gate and follow you around, good to catch, load, travel, etc.

I am also selling her miniature Shetland best friend (gelding). Would absolutely love it if they could go together and may accept offers for both.

Missi does crib, and she can get quite hangry at feed time - towards other horses, not people.

She raced three times.
Previous owner told me that she failed a vetting due to a previous knee injury, which doesn't affect her at all, just means that she probably wouldn't be suitable for a serious competition home.

She's just really been chilling in the field with me, having some downtime.
When I did hack her out a couple of times in company she was very good. However, solo hacking she was a little nervous/spooky so would benefit from a confident, experienced rider.

I have not had the time to do any ridden work at all with her, so she is being sold as a project from the field.
She will need an experienced person to do her retraining after racing, and bringing her back into work.
She will also need some conditioning before starting any work again, as she has lost some unfortunately from roughing it living out throughout the winter.
Currently barefoot, was shod in front when in work previously.

I don't want to sell her, but due to health and personal reasons I have to accept that she deserves better.
A change in my circumstances means that I can't give her the time and the resources that she needs.

She can come with a few rugs.
