It is with a very heavy heart we are offering for sale our much-loved pony Eddie aka Llandaff Royalist as he has now been outgrown.
Eddie is a 17-year old (do not let this put you off as he has the determination, heart and soul of a 7 year old!) Bay,13hh registered Welsh Sec B. Registered, passported and with a great breeding background.
We have owned Eddie for just over 3 years and he has taught my daughter to ride in this time. Eddie is not a 1st ridden and will need an experienced, confident rider who is ready to get out there and start competing. He has had a go at everything SJ, XC, Dressage, Hunting, PC, Pony Camps, Working Equitation (with previous owner) and gymkhana, but in the time, we have owned him he has mainly competed at SJ as this is what my daughter loves, he has also been XC schooling. Jumping is what Eddie loves to do and my daughter has brought home many ribbons but this pony would excel in any genre with the right rider, would also make a great showing pony. Hacks alone and in company will go 1st or last, is good with most traffic although not overly keen on large farming vehicles, as long as he can see it coming with lots of reassurance he will allow to pass, has got better with this since we've owned him.
Eddie is a very loving pony who loves to be groomed and pampered. He was in a riding school environment with previous owners and used as a lead rein pony so is used to being spoilt by lots of children. He is good to clip, shoe (fronts only), bath, catch and to have teeth done. He has lovely ground manners and is not bolshy or bossy. Will share with mares and geldings and has no issues with cats, dogs, farm animals etc.
Eddie has a typical Welsh attitude and needs to be in work with a job to do.
Eddie trailers well alone or with company, doesn't like to be left on trailer but will stand outside tied up with no problems.
Eddie is all up to date with teeth, vaccs, worming, back and shoes. Is NEVER sick or sorry and has NEVER had laminitis. He is a good doer and very easy to maintain. Will live in or out and is happy to be stabled. Eddie would adjust to any new routine easily.
Please do not allow the age of this pony to put you off, he still has many miles in the tank and loves to have a purpose, if not for being outgrown would not be selling. He is a fun and determined boy who knows his job well and loves to jump. Would make a competitive child ready to go out and compete very happy.
Please no time wasters or canvassers as this is a very hard decision for my daughter of her much-loved pony.
Eddie will come with all tack and full extensive wardrobe (can provide list of items on request)
