Description:

Jasper aka 'Maypole Ernie' is a 12.1 liver chestnut registered Welsh section B gelding, with a full green Welsh passport. He turns ten this year.

Jasper is a beautiful pony, a lovely colour with a lovely nature to match. He's been showjumping, hunting, hacking etc and has always been good as gold for them all. He was a saint out hunting, wasn't phased at all by the big group of horses or the hounds, and even popped a few small fences, out with the CUDH. He has incredible brakes, doesn't hot up/buck/rear/bronc etc. He would look after a nervous rider on the hunt field, does everything the rider asks.

He's been to a few unaffiliated showjumping competitions, popping round with both more confident riders as well as a more nervous rider.

Jasper doesn't get fresh if not ridden consistently, you could leave him two weeks and jump straight on again no problem. We personally haven't hacked him out alone due to him only being ridden by the kids, but in company he is brilliant will go in front or behind, good in traffic, good in open spaces, goes over railway crossings and bridges etc.

He turns out with both mares and geldings, has a very friendly nature. He is happy to live in or out, and is barefoot. Everyone loves Jasper, he's 100% safe has never acted up in any way, the type the kids jump on bareback in the stable. My complete beginner little sisters have ridden Jasper, having their first ever trots of the lead rein, and I can trust him completely. He's also previously been used in a riding school. He has a lovely movement, very active in front. Is available with his tack also.
