Condition: Original in all aspects, with old foxing spores across parts of the surface of the painting. Some small areas of Gilt loss to the Antique frame.



DESCRIPTION:

Mounted in the original period Gilt frame with an inner gilt slip and protected behind the original Edwardian glazed / glass panel, this exquisite original Watercolour Painting was executed by a Bristolian artist during the Edwardian Period.

The work depicts a fabulous Seascape Coastal scene which is set within a hilly landscape setting.

Two masted vessels can be seen anchored just of the shore, the reflection of the sea bouncing off the large hulls..

The sailing vessels are portrayed in outstanding attention to detail. The artist certainly had great skill in the execution of seascape paintings and the detailing throughout the masts, rigging and the boats hulls are a really beauty to behold.
