This Beautiful Scale model Tall Ship was one of three, lovingly hand built by my husband for therapy after an accident, they have been widely admired for the workmanship by all who have seen them, and need to be seen for real to appreciate detail

The "Amerigo Vespucci" and is an Italian Navy Sail Training Ship, she was Built in 1931
in Naples and she is still in use today for Sail training.

If you take a closer look on decks, the wheelhouse, lockers, hatches, storage, little wooden steps and ladders etc were meticulously shaped and built by hand, as were the lifeboats, decks, masts, and hull, nothing was pre shaped, the hull is double skinned, with the deck laid on top, the rigging was also made and hand tied to the masts.
Although the ship came as a kit, the wood was supplied as long flat strips of Walnut, and the 'Amerigo Vespucci" built entirely by my husband.
Only the Propellor is Brass, as is the Figurehead
£500 now £450 cannot reduce further for all the work and dedication that has gone into making the model.
As stated earlier this Model is not a toy, but collectors item.
