1907 pattern bayonet in Stoke On Trent

Amazing example of a 1907 pattern bayonet that has been 'doctored'. Someone has skillfully added a quillon to this example, to create a rare version ot this bayonet. Early on in the First World War, a directive was given to remove the quillon from the 1907 pattern. Most were duly modified, but some escaped and command a lot of money in the market place - currently been £300 to £800, depending on condition markings etc. The one offer is in real good condition - bright blade, some staining, good grips and an excellent 1917 dated tear drop scabbard. 1914 leather equipment repro frog finishes the set-up off. Postage extra.
