VERY RARE WW2 1939 Dated Luger P08 Holster for Norwegian Volunteers in Milford Haven

A very interesting piece of history, a P08 holster specifically manufactured for Norwegian volunteers.

"During World War II a great number of volunteers from Norway served within the ranks of the German Wehrmacht. Prior to 1940, there were few such volunteers, but after the invasion, their numbers increased dramatically totaling around 50,000 by wars end. Nowhere did Norwegians serve in greater numbers than in the ranks of the Waffen-SS, but equal mention should also be made of those who served in the Kriegsmarine, Luftwaffe, Heer and in the various auxiliary forces such as Organization Todt and even the Reichsarbeitdients." These were very often modified like this one to accept different pistols or revolvers as the Norwegian volunteers were not always equipped with P08's.
This one looks to have been cut to accept a larger pistol. Possibly a Reichsrevolver?

Stamped 1939 and with a three legged swastika (Norwegian Volunteers). Manufactured by Ewald Luneschloss, Solingen.

In good original untouched condition. Missing the strap that holds the flap shut. Some stitching missing/loose, but altogether very stable. Has the two belt loops present, and the tool pouch and magazine pouch.

Very rare. Not your usual P08 holster.

Hard to put a price on as they are not seen often. Asking £80 including tracked UK postage.

Please see my other militaria including helmets, bayonets and much more.
