Gold Tone IT-250R short scale length (50cm) resonator tenor banjo for sale.

This is an absolute beast of a banjo, and these are difficult to get hold of with the resonator. A joy to play, and the loudest I've ever heard, certainly with the resonator on (great in sessions!), with a rich (think mahogany), deep, percussive sound (plenty of 'thunk'!) - largely because of its excellent, heavy tone-ring and the number of clamps. Its volume of sound ironically gives control and sensitivity, because you're not having to hammer out every note just to be heard. Also well made and beautifully detailed and finished.

It hasn't had much use and has been mollycoddled - condition isn't far from new (only real sign of use is a slightly matt patch on the chrome of the detacheable arm-guard). Comes with two spare (unused) bridges and I'll throw in some spare strings and plectrums in addition to the new strings currently on it. Set up with 13-44 gauge strings (standard is 10-40). The resonator detaches easily if you don't need full volume.

Selling because I've had to give up the banjo because of tendon problems.
