With the Gulf Stream giving our mild climate, the area has many gardens, including Galloway House, Castle Kennedy and Logan Botanical boasting a range of tropical plants.

Castlewigg is an ideal base for exploring Wigtownshire, with the beautiful countryside, coastlines and towns and villages of the Machars. Be it, the pretty harbour towns of the Isle of Whithorn, Garlieston and Port William, the booktown of Wigtown, or the golden sands at Monreith beach, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
