Rimor Katamarano 6 Berth Full Service History 143bhp Great Condition New MOT in Camborne

We are selling our 2011 (11 reg) Rimor Katamarano "Light" (3500kg so can be driven on any car licence), 6 berth coach-built over-cab motorhome. The base vehicle is a Ford Transit 2.2 litre, producing 143bhp. It is front wheel drive with a six-speed manual gearbox, power steering and cruise control and is very easy to drive with loads of power and good economy. The cab has air con, radio/CD player, very comfortable seats, driver and passenger airbags, plenty of storage, door pockets and cup holders, two power points for charging etc, remote central locking and a swivel driver's seat. The cab windows and mirrors are electrically operated. The cruise control is operated from buttons on the steering wheel and is superb for long motorway drives. It will run all day at 70mph in top gear. For additional safety the motorhome has antilock brakes (ABS), an electronic stability programme (ESP) and an Auto Watch rear parking sensor system. Four top of the range "Pirelli Camper" specialist motorhome tyres were fitted about 3,000 miles ago. These give a superb ride and accurate feel compared with the normal van tyres that were fitted originally. In addition to the driver's and front passenger seats there are four travelling seats with seat belts in the accommodation area.

The accommodation offers 6 berths. A very comfortable super snug double is above the cab and has plenty of headroom, twin long adult sized bunks are at the rear and the seating and table group converts to another double bed. We have never used the seating group as a bed but we assume it would make a small double. All of the windows in the accommodation area are double glazed Perspex and each has a mosquito screen and a blackout blind. All the windows open to let fresh air in if required. There is also a large roof vent again fitted with a mosquito screen. The whole area is well insulated and warm even on cold nights.

The kitchen has a two-burner hob, a sink with hot and cold water, a Cookworks microwave and a Thetford fridge with a small freezer compartment that keeps ice cream frozen even on very hot days. The fridge works either from gas, mains electric when the motorhome is hooked up and from the leisure battery or gas when travelling. The bathroom has a shower, a Thetford cassette toilet, a wash hand basin and a mirror fronted cabinet. There is good dry storage under the basin. The kitchen sink, basin and shower drain into grey water storage tanks under the vehicle. The cassette toilet is removed for emptying and recharging from a hatch outside the vehicle at the rear. At the back of the accommodation there is a good-sized wardrobe which also houses a Strong Arm safe. The Vision Plus 550 Digital Antenna TV aerial can be raised and rotated from inside the wardrobe.

For additional storage there are a number of useful overhead lockers, cupboards under the sink, a cutlery drawer and a large food storage cupboard. Under the bottom bunk is a good size box storage where we store our outside chairs, table, barbeque, and wine plus all sorts of other bits and pieces. There are also very useful storage spaces under the dining seats.

Under the wardrobe there is a Truma gas fired central heating and hot water boiler and controls. This serves hot water to the basin / shower and the kitchen sink and vents hot air to outlets within the accommodation area. The fresh water tank is located under the rear dining seat and circulates water via a Fiamma Aqua 8 pump. It is filled from a filler point on the outside. There is a Power Source Invertor fixed behind the passenger seat that can convert the 12-volt supply from the leisure battery to 240 volts enabling you to use 240-volt appliances such as hair driers when the motorhome is not hooked up to a mains supply. The leisure battery is charged from the engine and from mains hook up. Lighting in the accommodation is provided by LED units fitted throughout.

Outside there is a large Fiamma F45 Awning that can provide a large area of shade. The gas bottle is located in a hatch by the door, the leisure battery is located in another hatch on the nearside of the van. The fresh water filler is also located on the nearside. The accommodation door is protected by a strong external security lock plus the normal deadlock in the door. There is a bike rack on the rear with channels for four bikes. Included in the price is a long mains hook-up cable, an insulated windscreen cover that also provides privacy and night time blackout, a gas cylinder and a Chenille door curtain fly screen.

The motorhome has a new MOT and a full-service history, plus manuals for all the equipment. It is 6.4m long, 2.3m wide and 3.1m high. There are no marks or damage on the body and it is completely watertight. It drives perfectly and has been well loved by ourselves and previous owners. It is free from finance and clear on HPI. There are two sets of keys for everything. The only flaw that I can see is the sealant on the bodywork joints has picked up dust and dirt over time and become a little unsightly. This does not in any way affect the seals but it is perhaps a small job that deserves a little fettling. In my opinion, the price of £23,999 represents great value for this superb motorhome. We are in Camborne, West Cornwall. Reason for sale - we are buying a holiday home in Spain.
