Jaguar 1998 XJ8 3.2 Petrol V8 Auto
Classic car (leather seats, smooth drive, automatic).

This car has the awesome 3.2 V8 engine, with 240bhp. this is a 1998 classic model which has a higher spec than most this model.

The MOT until February 2018 next year, and passed with no advisorys, however previous the advisory does state that large amount of welding to underneath on the MOT history, this has all be completed and wheels are also free of corrosion

She has the following specification:-

18" XJR alloys all with nearly new tyres (nearly £1000 to put a full set of tyres on these)

The bodywork looks fantastic in the grey metallic.The bodywork is very straight for a 20 year old jaguar.The official Jaguar metal sign was put on by myself to make it stand out more. To be overly critical there are some small chips and touch ups on the bonnet, and some very small areas of corrosion just starting on the back corners, and the odd blemish around the bodywork as they all have, however there was a big amount of corrosion that occurred on the right wing which needed a new panel in December costing me £450 to order and fit as this wouldn't have passed the MOT so overall the car looks fantastic.

The inside has full champagne leather seats complete with walnut wood dashboard trim both of which are in very good condition. The interior is in excellent condition with the leather been maintained with the best quality treatments. The original mats are very clean. The headlining is also very clean and of course is not sagging.

The car drives great, goes, steers, and stops very well. The jag v8 engine is silky smooth and silent as it should be, uses no oil or coolant. A new engine was required when I bought this due to it blowing up within the first week of purchased. It was purchased from a local individual selling parts of his jaguar and was bought for £950 and was fitted at the time from a local garage. The engine is currently at 75k miles.
The transmission is silky smooth through all the gears and has sport mode which awakes the car and makes it much more lively. The suspension is great and these cars really handle very well. This is not a rust bag as many you will find and my recent 300-mile trip proved all is in order mechanically

Overall a lovely car with a few age related marks as to be expected with age. This is a fantastic opportunity for a great bargain and if you are looking for an XJ8 then you should consider this one as there are many out there but not many which you will not need to plough money in to get to a standard. As described I have spent an awful low on the car to make it at a perfect standard for its age and would love to have kept it for longer however since buying a newer version it deserves a new owner that can make the most of it on the road.
