The waterproof Alpinestars Scout boots are tall (36cm,14in approx) sturdy dual purpose boots. The all season riding boots are rugged enough for trail riding but can also be used for road riding or both. I have only used them for road riding.
The boots have a PU coated leather for durability and abrasion resistance and have a waterproof membrane construction
There is outer and inner ankle protection where different thicknesses allow protection and flexibility. Internal shin reinforcement is layered under the leather and the internal mesh liner is comfortable and breathable.
A removable PE padded foot bed gives shock and impact protection and the stitched soles provide grip and durability
The boots have a 3 buckle closure with micro-adjustable memory system and a velcro pull flap at the top of the boot for adjustable closure. These boots are CE certified.
