Description:

I have owned this bike since November 2016 having had numerous bikes before this one like several Fireblades, a Firestorm, a Bonneville and numerous others. This is by far the best bike I have every owned or ridden. It is extremely smooth, flexible and handles like a dream. Whilst it is not as sharp turning as the likes of a Fireblade in all other respects it is a far better bike and returns similar fuel consumption. I get about 42MPG on mixed riding around town and urban riding and as much as 47MPG or more on a run.

I am now 63yrs of age and weight just over 64Kg (10st) and whilst I was initially concerned about the weight of the bike (268Kg) it is not an issue. The weight is low down and once you pull away the bike handles like a lightweight in traffic or on the open road. Manoeuvring the bike out of the garage is not an issue once you get the knack.

The bike has had 2 owners before me. The first person bought it was a mature owner and then promptly sold it on 22/7/2014 after only completing 805 miles. The reason being he needed the additional money to carry out building work. The next person was again a mature owner who was a qualified mechanic. The one and only service he carried out was to replace oil and filter. He sold the bike to me with 9,988 miles on the clock. Most of his mileage was on Motorways between North Wales and Essex. Since then I have serviced the bike. Likewise I have only needed to carry out an oil and filter replacement, but like the last owner I have kept evidence of the work that was carried out.

I have a number of service parts like oil filters, brake pads and also extras for the bike that may be available to the new owner. The bike is fitted with a Centre Stand; Carbon Hugger; Adjustable Heated Handlebar grips; a Scottoiler; Rack and Topbox fitted with LED's which I fitted under the reflectors to provide additional visibility. I've also fitted the reflective strips on the side of the bike but they can be easily removed if it's not to your liking.

So why am I selling this superb machine. Sad thought it is I have only completed 241 miles since the last MOT and the bike has not been used since the Autumn. In addition my wife is not interested anymore since my daughter has got her commitment not to ride on the back. The daughter is a doctor who works in A&E and has endeavoured to get me to sell the bike. We are just about to embark upon a remodelling of our home which will involve moving everything out from the house and garage. This will mean that if I keep the bike I will have to garage it somewhere else so I've decided to put it up for sale. If you live far away and are not prepared to travel to check the bike out I am happy to take a live video tour of it through WhatsApp or similar. Alternatively you could speak to the owner of All2Wheelers in Poole. He recalled my bike and name even though I had not visited his shop in a year. He commented that mine was the best example of this model he has seen for a long time. It has lead a easy life which is understandable as you can exceed the national speed limit whilst keeping the revs under 3,500 revs. It pulls like a train from just over 30MPH in top gear without the need to change down in order to accelerate quickly.

I've got all the original documentation and manuals for the bike and will be selling all my bike gear including Leathers, Tank Luggage (not used), crash helmet, boots etc.. If you want to discuss anything then please give me a ring. I am not desperate to sell so don't bother about any silly offers as this is already priced to sell. I will not be sending the bike overseas and will not be handing it over to any scammers. Genuine motorcyclists only please.

Thanks.
