Description:
For sale is my beloved 2001 Honda CBR600f. This is the fuel injected model that in the UK is called the F1, but the Americans call the F4i. There are youtube videos of these bikes ticking over 300k miles. I have owned this bike for 9 years and it has been exceptionally reliable the whole time. I'm selling because I have finally bought a new bike and over the past 3 years the CBR has sat in the garage largely unused. It is time to make some garage space.
It has a number of features and minor modifications/upgrades including:
> Motad stainless steel downpipes (fitted with copper greased stainless studs with brass nuts to prevent future seizing). Motads are one of the few brands of downpipes that run perfectly on this model of bike, most brands give it a flat spot at 7k rpm. There are a set of flat spot inducing stainless downpipes you can take with the bike if you want them (they were fitted, hated and replaced with Motad).
> Scorpion stainless steel end can (with a road legal baffle for MOT day). High quality and sounds great. (Original can included).
> Gun metal grey HEL braided brake hoses (original rubber hoses included)
> K+N air filter
> Renthal soft grips
> CNC levers (original levers included, the colour of these isn't for everyone...)
> Dark tinted double bubble screen (original screen included)
> Crash bungs
> Fibreglass rear hugger
> Stainless steel bolt kits fitted (no safety critical, high tensile bolts have been replaced)
> The bike Is fitted with Michelin Pilot road 3 tyres with a good 2/3rd of their life left
> Good condition brembo HH road compound brake pads up front
> Motobatt battery
> This model has a centre stand, fuel gauge, grab rail, switchable mph/kph speedo, decent underseat storage, HISS immobiliser, and front and rear suspension that are adjustable for preload, rebound and compression damping. Adjustable suspension was not fitted to later models.
> Two programmed keys included (very important for this model as losing all of the keys requires a new ECU)
The bike is in good condition for the age, it has been garaged for all of its life but I commuted on it for a few years and it isn't showroom as a result, however as you can see it cleans up well which is a testament to the build quality of early 00's Honda. In 2011 I took a low speed spill on some ice, landing on the left hand side. Thankfully the damage was minimal as the bung took the brunt of it but you'll notice the generator cover is scuffed, the bung is scuffed, there are some scuffs and chips on the paint around the front cowling and bung hole, and a bit on the seat cowl. There are a few other random scratches/chips etc here and there, but nothing too significant. It has service history up to 16k and been serviced regularly by me since. I have kept electronic records of when things have taken place which includes the date and cost of any repairs/replacements plus a huge stack of receipts. Bike will have a fresh MOT on Saturday 23rd.
