1977 XS650 with 840cc conversion.
Complete rebuild of this classic iconic old school chop. Built to a very good standard as can be seen by the pictures.
This bike rides really well and is surprisingly comfortable.
Black powder coated frame and many parts.
Black Chrome powder coated wheels, engine casings and many other parts.
Engine totally rebuilt by a local well respected motorcycle engineer and runs beautifully, pulls strong and sounds awesome. I believe the engine has been 'phased due to how smooth it is.
New carburettors, tyres, battery, electrics, levers, cables, bars, mirrors and many many other parts.
A rack could be fitted to the steel rear mudguard and the light moved further back, or remove the rear lamp because the rear number plate lamp could be replaced with a tail/brake light assembly as the wiring is already in place to do that.
The bike is all UK legal and has a V5. Also a long mot.
If The new owner wishes for it to be tax exempt then it will just need to registered as historic vehicle at the post office when taxing it and then it then becomes road tax free.
The black number plate IS legal for vehicles registered as historic, I do have the yellow plate if you require it.
Yes you could buy a Harley chop at twice the money or a Triumph but with less reliability but these classic Yamaha engines are a real peach, a great choice for a classic chopper.
