Not used for many years, will require recommissioning.
Model: Yamaha XJ650 Maxim shaft drive.

Bike has got a few bits missing (battery side panel, rear indicator & side stand, number plate (how it came) front brake pads, a few bits non-standard (exhaust it's a Motad 4 in 1) & a few bits are very nice indeed. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome in travel area and above. Instruments & switches ok. Electrics work (I borrowed fuses to try out) horn/indicators/rear light, (clocks/headlight only operate when engine running, so unclear on that, USA spec). Paintwork is dull and could do with a respray; Fuel tank is partially dirty inside with a dent either side. The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip but will need attention no doubt. Seat base in very good condition and lock, few holes in cover and the grab rail is in fair condition. Shaft drive spins freely with no odd noise or grinding. Rear shocks are in very good condition. Very newish front tyre & good meaty disc, rear tyre will need replacing (plenty of tread but age related sidewall cracks). Gearbox selects all gears smoothly (manually). Battery is quite new and charged.

The Engine; cosmetically clean, cylinders 3&4 have rusting between rings/barrel due to long term storage and condensation build up due to changing temperature in seasons. I took a second professional opinion on this matter. Further pictures show beneath rocker cover, this was to satisfy this is a non-seizure. Replacement parts which are absolute mint condition (head/barrels/pistons/rings & pins) are included in price.
