Wanted a reliable british registered left hand drive vehicle to take me to Sardinia. I did have a Alfa romeo sportwagon but the engine gave up the ghost also It was Romanian registered and trying to re-register it in the UK was a nightmare (took too long) and you have to be Italian or a permanent resident to register it in Italy.
So I am looking for a largish estate car or an MPV or a 4x4 of some description and ideally a vehicle thats recognised as reliable i.e. VW, audi, Toyota, Mitsubishi or similar. I have about £3000 cash to spend, anyone got any suggestions? I'm the old geezer on the left in the photo, I am retired now but I visit my house in Sardinia regularly and would prefer a left hand drive vehicle.
I suppose £2000 is a bit like a trade in allowance so could help someone get a better discount on their new vehicle.
