Update - Hippie has been moved from one foster to another. He has been overwhelmed by the amount of different dogs he has been around and is now really uncomfortable being around them.
For this reason, we NEED Hippie to find his forever home. We really don't want to have to move him into yet another foster home. He has been through so much already. However the situation is now spayed urgent we will accept moving him into another foster. He can't stay where he is!
TYPE OF HOME: He needs a pet free home. Although he is sociable with dogs outside of the home, it is now clear he needs a home on his own. He has prey drive so no cats etc. He can be homed with sensible children. He seems to make a good connection with men but is still happy with women. He needs a couple of walks a day as he enjoys being outside and then he is happy to take himself away for a snooze or cuddle up for a movie with you on the couch. He really deserves a quiet, loving home where he can finally be doted on.

Hippie was rescued from the streets. His coat was in a terrible state and he was under weight. The kind man who took him in could only keep him in the garage area as no dogs were allowed in the building.
Hippie is a very chilled out dog. He is happy to lay around whilst you are busy but also loves to go exploring on walks. He walks at a steady pace and does not pull.
Hippie is used to being around other dogs. He spent most of his time with a Shiz Tzu. Hippie is also content being on his own. Hippie cannot be around cats, ducks etc as he does have prey drive. He does not bolt when he see's them, but he is overly keen and interested.
If you want to give Hippie cuddles and affection he will happily receive but if you are busy he is happy to keep to himself. A calm household will probably be best for Hippie where he can chill out but also get walks and mental stimulation. It would be best if he was an only dog.
Hippie sleeps through the night on his own without any issues. He is house trained and leash trained. He just needs to be put into a routine and shown what is expected of him in his new home, like any dog.
The coat of these dogs is a little like a poodle coat, low shedding so could be good for people who have allergies.
