Alice is a "little lady" looking for forever home in Bristol
Alice is a "little lady" looking for forever home in Bristol
**Alice!** Currently in foster care in Bristol . She is ready for adoption!
Alice is a super doggy, a "little lady" who steals the hearts of those who spend time with her. Her story began in an unfriendly industrial area on the island of Cyprus where she was found wandering the streets searching for food and safety. No one knows how she ended up there, but it seems Alice was abandoned by someone who didn't think she was worthy enough to keep.
Her rescue took her to a nearby shelter where she lived for several months. There, she became the wagging tail of the shelter , soon gaining the affection of volunteers who enjoyed petting and giving her hugs. Eventually, Alice flew off to the UK where her chances of finding her future family were much greater!
She is currently in foster care in the UK and shares a home with two other doggies . Alice was initially stressed and afraid due to the long journey, but she settled quickly and, within a few days, adjusted to a "homey" routine.
Alice's progress in foster care and why she's ready for her new family!**
She loves to play with other dogs but also enjoys her own space. Alice can be an only dog or share a home with dogs who won't be jealous when she's petted by family members and who won't mind her energetic nature. She already enjoys her outdoor walks and loves snuggling up next to her humans after a long day . Alice, being an ex-shelter dog, will seek affection and attention, having missed out on it in her life.
In her foster home, she's a clean girl indoors and does her potty outdoors. She loves snuggling in her blankets and playing with her toys. She's a fast learner and observes her doggy housemates to learn behaviors. A wonderful trait she's shown is her patience in waiting her turn to put on her harness for walks and her willingness to cooperate.
Alice is strong-minded and will stand her ground with other dogs, which might sometimes lead to friction, but she's a young 14 months pup and her personality is just beginning to blossom . She likes to bark when she's excited, so her ideal family would be one that doesn't mind her expressing herself with barks and won't be concerned if neighbors hear her occasionally.
This slim, medium-sized, toffee-colored dog is already neutered and looks promising to become a fantastic house dog. Alice is easily trainable, very smart, and alert! She should go to her forever family soon before becoming too settled in her foster home, to avoid another adjustment that might cause her uncertainty.
Let's find Alice her forever human and help her settle in sooner rather than later! Easier arrangements can be made for her transfer based on her new family's location.
