Storm
Rehomed

Siberian Husky in Midlothian

£50

Urgently needs rehomed.

We took on this dog from a couple who claimed he was too loud for their household, this was a week or so ago, his name is Storm. He was fine with us for the first few days, we noticed he is food obsessed and clearly neglected by previous owners.

His behaviour after the first few days has changed and is getting more and more dominating and difficult to deal with.

He will jump up and attempt to get you to the floor, this started out by appearing to be his attempts at playing, quickly followed by him starting to nip at us and on the odd occasion bite, they seemed like playful biting at first, they were not painful and he wasnt showing aggression just being bouncy.

The behaviour towards our 7 year old got worse, with him trying to push around our child and nip at him, so now he's scared of the dog, which makes the behaviour worse.

We attempted to rehome the dog, he got picked up today and was being well behaved. Less than an hour later we had a call, to our horror, that he had bitten their eldest daughter and both adults.

We absolutely cannot trust this dog anymore in our home or around children, none of the bites have broken skin or drawn blood but I personally saw the marks left on the mans forearm, and we cannot take that risk around our son.

We've tried every shelter, police scotland and even local vets, we dont want to have to get him euthanised as im sure with the right experienced owner and proper training this behaviour could be eliminated, but are running out of options as nowhere will take him, every shelter is full.

We dont want any money for the dog, we originally were trying to recoup what we spent rehoming him but now that this has happened we do not feel comfortable asking for money.

I cannot keep him in my house with our 7yr old, we will give him away with everything he has for free. We just dont know what to do and the stress and anxiety this is causing is severe.

We've tried to get in contact with his previous owners but it seems they do not care at all.

Under no circumstances should this dog be rehomed with children, DO NOT enquire if you have children, we will not let him go to a home where this could happen again, he needs an appropriate home as we cannot take the risk of any further aggressive behaviour in our house.
