CLOWN LOACH - PAIR in Paignton


The Clown Loach originates from Indonesia on the islands of Sumatra and Borneo.

Clown loaches can reach 10 to 12 inch if properly cared for.

They really are excellent when it comes to keeping a snail population down.

Care and feeding
In the wild Clown Loaches have to live in waters that change pH drastically from as low as 5 up to 7.5

A stable community pH between 6 and 7 would be perfect.

Temp 22 to 27 c

To ensure a happy and healthy clown loach they are best kept in groups so selling these as a pair.

Clown loach are omnivores and in the wild live off insects, aquatic invertebrates, crustaceans and worms, as well as some plant matter.

Feed them with a range of foods, with live and frozen featuring heavily.

They will eat dried foods but they need to be sinking to avoid other tank members eating it first before the loach can get it.
