Description:

Lissachatina zanzibarica a smaller species of the giant african land snail family, only grows to around 7cm but strikingly beautiful 'ice cream cone' shell colouration. This species is ovoviviparous meaning it gives birth to live young (about 2mm in shell), luckily only 15-20 at a time so not as prolific as Lissachatina Fulica. They are a very active species, very rarely burrow unless to lay babies. Babies start off with a yellow colouration and turn bright pink at around 2 months old which form the tip of the iconic shell colouration.
