These chicks were hatched on the 25/11/2021 , and they are fully feathered, and no longer require heat. I have hand raised the chicks, and they are very tame (as the photos show they are happy to sit on your shoulder). Currently they are fed on organic layers pellets, as they are mow free ranging with my laying hens, in a large paddock with access to some small trees, an area for dust bathing, and lots of space to stretch their wings!

They are a cross between a pure breed Barnevelder cockerel and ex-battery hens (photos of them are on this advertisement). Both parents have perfect temperaments, they are gentle and very tame, happy to eat out of my hand. The hens lay 6 brown eggs a week, and Barnevelders lay 180 dark brown eggs a year. The chicks will make perfect family pets, laying plenty of eggs and being perfectly tame and friendly.

The chicks are £8 each, but I will only sell chicks in groups of at least 2, as chicks are social animals and do not do well alone. You can choose any of the chicks, as they all have different colourations.
