Here at quailmadness we breed & hatch Japanese quails only...
SORRY BUT WE DONT CURRENTLY HAVE ANY MALES/FEMALES OR OLDER ONES AVAILABLE WE ONLY HAVE 2WK OLD UNSEXED QUAILS.
8 available £4each or all 8 for £25,They are ready to leave now.

Our quails are fed a very healthy diet of mixed corn & layer pellets,They also have oyster grit to help digest their food & help the females lay normal hard eggs..
Our babies require a heat lamp or an electric heat plate from newly hatched till 4weeks old then they live at room temperature till they are 6weeks old then they can live outdoors...
They eat chick crumb till they are 6weeks old but from 3wks old we feed mixed corn & layers pellets mixed into their crumb & we add more each day & less crumb each day so that by the time they are 6weeks old they will no longer need the chick crumb,But it won't hurt them to be having crumb longer if you have crumb left to use up.
They have the oyster shell grit from 6weeks old just scattered on the ground or In a separate bowl.
Females will lay eggs with or with a male but eggs won't hatch unless you incubate them yourself as quails are not broody like chickens.
Females should start to lay from
about 7-10weeks old some don't lay till 10-20weeks old this all depends on the quails mood/upkeep & depending om the weather...
We also have lots of fresh eggs available daily.
